First Conditional

The First conditional is used to talk about future events that have a real chance of happening if a specific condition is met. This structure uses the Present Simple in the if-clause and Future Simple in the main clause.

Definition: The First conditional expresses real and possible conditions and their probable results in the present or future.

Structure: If + Present Simple, Future Simple

Example: If you study hard, you will pass the exam.

The First conditional can also use "unless" (meaning "if not"):

Zero Conditional

The Zero conditional is used to express general truths, scientific facts, and events that always occur under certain conditions. This structure employs the Present Simple tense in both parts of the sentence.
